Collision Solution Hainesville was proud to make our entire building available on July 28, 2021, to be a part of the Round Lake “Build-A-Bike” workshop. With bicycles graciously provided by various Lake County police departments, volunteers teamed up with the new owners of these bikes to refurbish them and prepare Round Lake Area youth for bicycle ownership!
On the first day of the event experts from the Round Lake Area Bicycle Club and B&G Cyclery were on hand with area kids to pick their bikes and then evaluate them for safety. Then each expert went through the process of refurbishing the bikes alongside the bike’s new owner.
Then on the second day, all repairs were completed and evaluated and each youth took part in a bicycle safety class and overview to bicycle ownership. Then after a lunch provided by Mission BBQ the kids registered their bikes and were able to take them home.
